Strong Start

We have had an incredibly strong start to the school year! From the very first day, our staff and scholars have worked together to create a school environment that is warm, safe, supportive, and full of energy.

As we begin our very first year, it has been exciting to see our school community already developing a true sense of family. Our Pilots have embraced new routines, built relationships, and shown us every day just how much potential exists within our building. We have an amazing group of scholars at PLA, and we cannot wait to see how far they soar this year!

Uniforms/Dress Code

Thank you to all of our families for helping ensure that scholars arrive in uniform each day! We have begun monitoring dress code compliance and will communicate with families when concerns arise.

We understand that situations may occasionally come up that make it difficult for a scholar to meet dress code expectations. If your family needs assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to a member of our school leadership team. We are always happy to help.

Pilot Highlight

Role Model

We could have selected several scholars for our first Pilot Highlight, but Xzavier Scott has really stood out during the first few weeks of school. Xzavier is consistently respectful to his classmates and teachers, willing to participate, and approaches each day with a positive attitude. He has already shown many of the qualities we hope to see in every PLA Pilot.

Family Highlight

Parent Ambassador

This month, we would like to recognize Monica Smith for the incredible support she has already provided to Portage Leadership Academy. Monica was a tremendous help during our Open House and has continued to be an active and dependable Parent Ambassador. Her willingness to volunteer, support our staff, and help strengthen our school community has already made a meaningful impact. Thank you, Monica, for all that you do for PLA!

Staff Highlight

Meet the PLA Team

Portage Leadership Academy is proud to introduce the incredible team helping bring our school to life! From the classroom to the front office, each member of our staff plays an important role in creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for our Pilots. We are excited for our families to get to know the people who make PLA such a special place to learn and grow.
